Contemplation

Contemplation is the phase where we verify whatever teachings we have absorbed. Many of them will naturally resonate and verify themselves while reading the above section on Listening. This is because they align with our own direct experience and are grounded in ordinary human logic. Contemplation involves thinking about whether what has been taught is true or not. It requires rigorous self-examination to ensure that our understanding is genuine. We need to remain open to questioning and exploring all aspects of the teachings. For any difficulties during contemplation, seeking guidance is recommended. By contemplating, we solidify our understanding and prepare ourselves for abidance.

Every seeker must make it a practice for contemplation daily because they tend to forget the knowledge. You need to develop the ability of coming to an answer by yourself without needing help. Sometimes forgetting of knowledge happens because of lazy intellect. People with lazy intellect does not want to search for answers. They don't want to use intellect too much because it is tiring. You should learn to make the intellect sharper. You should be very curious and keep asking questions. Use direct experience and logic to search for evidence. You should not believe anything blindly.
